In only a few short years Michael made the transition from professional baseball player to photographer. An interesting path. His site here.

This project that I’ve been working on lately is a direct result of trying to find something of cultural interest in my own backyard, a task that I’ve always found difficult. The official tourist season on the Athabasca Glacier ended yesterday so I will have to wait until next spring to finish it. After ten years of living in the Canadian Rockies I still have not gotten used to the fact (or taken it for granted) that the above location is in my “backyard”. How fortunate I am.

Excellent. Via Black Diamond blog.

This is summer. Cariboo Country, British Columbia.
